WHO THIS IS FOR
This retreat is for men who want to find that balance point, of walking through life with a strong and straight spine, at the same time as their hearts are full of love, open and present to their loved ones and the world.
It’s a space to:
-
Lean into practice.
-
Learn to wield the power of your warrior with the sensitivity of your lover.
-
Learn the foundational practices for continued cultivation back home.
-
Gain clarity on what’s important right now so you can take action and do what needs to be done.
-
Simply spend time with grounded, present men.
You don’t need prior experience.
You don’t need the right words.
You just need curiosity and a willingness to meet yourself honestly.
How the Days Are Held
Throughout the days we will move as a group through blocks of practice mixed with blocks of time to integrate that which comes up.
Everything is optional, yet highly encouraged to play full out and lean in to your tender edge.
It's a journey with a clear beginning and end. And if you lean in, it will be a clear marker in your life's timeline, a before and after.

Being turned on, wide awake, and full of power is a great feeling. Yet it's not the everyday experience of most men today.
And no, we're not talking about the jittery buzz of too much coffee, or any borrowed high that spends tomorrow's energy today.
We're talking about a steady flow of power that's always there, constant and available, that we as a modern society have lost connection to, or forgot completely. The old Norse knew it and called it URKRAFT. Known by connected and powerful traditions from every corner of the world, each carrying it under a different name.
This is what we'll work with here: remembering that connection, feeling it in the body, and establishing a personal relationship with it, so you can carry it with you forward. You'll do this surrounded by men who see you, call you forward, and ask nothing less than your full heart.
So you can lead your life, your family, and your work from a place of fullness, giving from abundance. Full of life. Full of love.

I'm David.
Son, husband, father, brother.
I have spent the last 10+ years traveling and studying inner and outer development. Both in scientifically recognized fields as well as with indigenous traditions that carry knowledge Western culture has largely forgotten. Mixing this with leadership, yoga, meditation, menswork, bodywork, relational intimacy and martial arts, with the sole focus of how to bring the fruits of this into normal day-to-day life. Into the family and the office, where everything is screaming for our attention.
Open Man is the result of this work, and this retreat is one of the ways I get to share it, in person, with real men, in real time.

My name is Casper Veda.
Two decades ago something called me away from everything I knew.
Into the jungle with plant medicine and the deep look at my own darkness. Into the staredown of martial arts and the primal test of what I was made of. Into months of silence and inner war, sweating through the pain of trying to free myself from everything I thought I was.
I spent a long time searching for the man I was supposed to become.
What I found is that the warrior and the lover were never opposites. They were always the same man.
I bring the body into the room.
Through yoga, breath, and physical practice, I work at the edge where comfort ends and something real begins. To wake up what's been sleeping.
At this retreat I lead the warrior practices and the fierce lover work. Helping men find the fire that makes their presence felt, and the heart that makes it safe to be near.
This is the work I live. Every day.
Together we share a love for the warrior's path, in union with the heart of the lover.
This is our invitation to spend a weekend together as men, in practice, letting iron sharpen iron.

What This Is
The core theme of the weekend is reconnecting with KRAFT (Power). Many of us want to be strong, grounded men, but we're often confused around what true healthy masculine power looks and feels like.
Balance is everything. Cultivating inner power without connection to our heart often leads to greed and domination. There's plenty of that out there already. Heart without access to power might be nice to be around, right up until something real, something that actually threatens what you love, needs to get done.
We need more strong men with wide open hearts. Yes, let's create a beautiful world, a garden to raise our children in. But let's be ready and capable to protect this garden when necessary.
This new man is needed everywhere. In our families, at work, in politics, in corporations. Everywhere.
As men we are protectors, so let's be ready to protect.
By doing this work we cultivate that which makes us trustable to other men, and have feminine women relax. This is something you become, that lives in you and emanates out.
At the same time as this retreat is a place for deep inner work, it's also a space for rest, for time in nature, for real conversations by the fire. For good food, play and genuine laughter.
